YATI Social Foundation recently organized a Menstrual Hygiene & Health Awareness Workshop at a skill training center in Manor, Palghar, with the aim of educating and empowering young women about menstrual health, hygiene, and personal well-being. As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were also distributed to the students to encourage safe and hygienic menstrual practices.
Menstrual health continues to be a topic surrounded by silence and misconceptions in many communities. Due to lack of awareness, limited access to sanitary products, and social stigma, many girls and women face challenges in maintaining proper menstrual hygiene. This not only affects their health but also impacts their confidence, education, and daily lives.
The workshop focused on spreading awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene, proper healthcare practices, and breaking common myths associated with menstruation. The session encouraged open discussions, helping students understand that menstruation is a natural biological process and should never be treated as a taboo subject.
During the workshop, participants were guided on the importance of using hygienic sanitary products, maintaining cleanliness during menstrual cycles, and understanding basic health precautions. The interactive session also gave students an opportunity to ask questions openly and gain accurate information about menstrual health and hygiene.
As part of the initiative, YATI Social Foundation distributed sanitary pads to the students to support their health and hygiene needs. The distribution aimed to ensure that young girls have access to safe menstrual hygiene products and are encouraged to prioritize their health with confidence and dignity.
At YATI Social Foundation, we believe that awareness and education are essential in creating healthier and empowered communities. Menstrual hygiene awareness is not only a health issue but also an important step towards women empowerment, confidence building, and social equality.
By organizing such workshops and awareness programs, we aim to create a society where young girls and women can openly discuss health-related topics without fear or hesitation. Creating awareness about menstrual hygiene helps reduce stigma, improve health outcomes, and encourage girls to continue their education and daily activities with confidence.
We remain committed to supporting community health and empowering young women through awareness, education, and social initiatives. Together, through collective efforts and community participation, we can build a healthier, informed, and more inclusive society for future generations.
